Introducing Work Sisters

Over the last 5 years, The Industry Club has been passionate about bringing more women into the industry and, more importantly, helping them to climb the ladder once there.
The Industry Club are tackling the challenging issue of gender diversity through our career support programme, Work Sisters. We offer fellow sisters in the industry sound advice for all things career related. Coming with years of first hand industry experience, and as women, we understand that at times it can be challenging. We are here to offer advice just like a sister would.
Our programme aims to offer a robust support system to females in the industry. This support comes in the form of guidance that is often inaccessible in the workplace, including: –
• Portfolio and CV advice
• Raising your profile
• Negotiation skills
• Goal setting and career planning
• Advice on flexible working
• Returning to the workplace
• Salary benchmarking
Our Work Sisters programme also aims to get to the core of the systemic issues affecting change at an organisational level, helping creative companies to address their gender imbalance. At Advertising Week Europe 2016, we joined forces with UK initiative Creative Equals. We led a panel with fellow industry experts seeking to address the diversity problem. We continue to work with Creative Equals and with agencies who hold the Creative Equals kite mark.
