PRINT PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

Our one-day Print Production workshop is hugely interactive. Using our print library, attendees have the opportunity to review and explore print formats, processes and finishes.

The workshop focuses on managing creative print Collateral, Press Advertising and Out of Home. Starting with the basics of the print process we move on to colour management, file types and how to manage image resolution.

After learning about stock, proofing, formats, finishes and knowing which print process to use for Collateral, we move on to Press and Out of Home. We look at how to read a media schedule and how to effectively brief a repro company and printer.

Finally our trainer works with everyone to write artwork briefs and print specifications using physical examples.

Jay Foster


Print Production Trainer

Jay has worked in the world of print, production and advertising for over 25 years. He has worked for some of London’s most successful agencies including Ogilvy, TBWA, Wunderman, Elvis and Dare in senior production & creative services roles and heading up production departments. He also ran his own production consultancy and is now the Commercial Director at the London printer & agency supplier ‘Tangent On Demand’.

Jay loves to share his passion for all things print & production and has extensive experience of  leading teams and training account managers, creatives and project managers in the print production process.

Jay’s passion is bringing creative ideas to life by searching for workable print or production solutions and staying ahead of technologies to create the best creative product possible.
