    By supplying your CV to The Industry Club we are receiving personal data from you. We are required to hold and use this data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and will ensure your data is processed in line with its requirements.

    As you are supplying us your CV in the pursuit of a job we hold your CV for this purpose, which will include work on your behalf to find you the right job. We will hold your information for up to 6 years as we know that our candidates usually change jobs within that timeframe and that gives us the opportunity to advise you when suitable roles become available.

      Melissa Smith


      Managing Director

      Melissa founded The Industry Club in 2011, having spent 20 years in creative agency operations - heading up Project Management and Production departments for some of London’s leading agencies at Board Level. Melissa leads The Industry Club on a day to day basis but is also passionate about building careers in the creative comms industry for Everyone. In 2020, she launched Marketing Debuts, a recruitment and training programme for young talent to drive diversity in the industry. Melissa is also one of our regular trainers at The Industry School sharing her knowledge and passion for Project Management with agencies and brands.

      Charlene Tyler


      Principal Recruitment Consultant - Project Management and Production

      Charlene joined The Industry Club in 2016 and has over 20 years experience working in marketing recruitment, both in-house and in recruitment agencies. With this experience, Charlene understands the significance of project management and production for an organisation and its nuances. She works with candidates in all areas of marketing including advertising, social, PR and experiential, placing juniors and seniors alike. Charlene has a significant network of candidates built up over her years in the field, and places freelancers and permanent candidates with brand owners and all categories of creative agencies.

      Nicky Irving


      Principal Recruitment Consultant - Account Management

      Nicky has worked at The Industry Club since 2014, having worked as an Account Handler for many years prior to working in recruitment. Nicky thrives on discovering the best account management talent for creative agencies, production houses and brand owners. Having that first-hand experience, she has a solid understanding of how different agencies operate and is very talented at identifying the right person for the client, both culturally and professionally. Offering experience across digital, integrated, social and advertising, Nicky has a great network of diverse and loyal talent who she’s advised in their careers and worked with since they entered the industry. Nicky works across freelance and permanent contracts.

      Annie Wigley


      Principal Recruitment Consultant - Finance and Resource Management

      Annie joined The Industry Club in 2019 with a wealth of recruitment experience having worked as a financial recruiter for 9 years when she joined. Annie also worked as an in-house talent manager for two large network agencies so has a great understanding of in-house and agency recruitment. Since joining The Industry Club, Annie has become a specialist in Resource Management and Creative Operations recruitment, working with an amazing network of talent across these areas, whilst still finding and placing talent into finance depts across London and the UK. Annie works on all levels of role, across freelance and permanent contracts.

      Zoe Edwards


      Principal Recruitment Consultant - Strategy/Senior Client Service

      Zoe joined us in 2019 from Publicis where she worked in client services as a Business Director. Zoe is a trusted sounding board and advisor for her clients and candidates alike. Zoe uses her great research skills to search for those highly desirable but difficult to find candidates then matches visions, ambition, and passions at a senior level to make the most effective partnerships. As well as working with our senior candidates, Zoe has been involved in various diversity initiatives for entry level talent to support underrepresented groups in securing roles in planning departments and manages freelance and permanent contracts.

      Farzana Dhami


      Principal Recruitment Consultant – Creative

      Farzana has been placing creative talent with The Industry Club since 2106 and has over 20 years’ experience moving across from an agency account management role in her earlier career. Farzana loves creative recruitment and has an amazing network of talent. Her passion for brave ideas and effective creative for brands, results in her meeting a record number of creative candidates on a weekly basis. Her sizeable network includes creatives specialising in content, experiential, advertising, social and digital, freelance and permanent candidates. Farzana places a large number of Creative Directors and senior creative personnel, but is also passionate about young talent from all walks of life being given the opportunity to join the creative industries.

      Isabelle Vali


      Principal Recruitment Consultant - Design, UX, Motion Graphics

      Issy joined The Industry Club, one week before the Covid lock down in 2020! Issy started her career as an agency Account Manager in branding and design working in the UK and Australia before starting her career as a creative recruiter in 2012. Her in depth knowledge of branding and design from her previous career experience has set Issy in good stead to build a brilliant loyal network of design professionals working across all areas of design and artwork, including UI, Motion, branding, advertising and presentation graphics. Issy is incredibly agile and is able to find new talent at great speed for freelance bookings as well as matching talent to agencies for permanent roles.

      Lisa Nostro


      Principal Recruitment Consultant - Marketing Services and B2B

      Lisa started her career in publishing at Hearst and moved into recruitment in 2012 for a leading creative recruitment firm. During her 8 years there, she recruited for marketing services roles working with candidates and clients from small start-ups to some of the world’s largest networks. In 2021, Lisa moved in-house and led the talent acquisition for two B2B specialists (one a top 10 agency the other a market leader in the ABM consultancy world). Here she  gained a deep knowledge of the B2B sector and the specialist skills required for a successful hire. Lisa joined The Industry Club in 2023 bringing  with her a strong network of clients and candidates within Marketing services and also B2B with an ABM specialism. She works with B2B and B2C clients and candidates across all levels of marketing roles, freelance and permanent.

      Mandy Daniel


      Finance Manager

      Mandy manages the finances for The Industry Club. She’s the main point of contact for all financial matters for the recruitment business, internally and for our clients. Mandy also looks after our freelancer payments and the associated admin, ensuring timesheets are signed and freelancers are always paid on time.

      As head of The Industry School, Jo helps clients align training objectives to business goals. Jo’s here to discuss what the right training plan looks like for you and where options such as our open workshops, bespoke training and mentoring will work best for the people in your organisation. As well coordinating training and managing the day-to-day running of The Industry School, Jo oversees the design and introduction of new courses to our training offering and provides consultancy in operations management to agencies of all sizes. An experienced course presenter herself, Jo is also our resource management trainer and leads our workshops and bespoke training in this specialist discipline.
