Melissa launched The Industry Club in 2011, having spent 20 years in creative agency operations - heading up Project Management and Production departments for some of London’s leading agencies at Board Level. Melissa is committed to building careers in the creative comms industry for Everyone and in 2020 launched Marketing Debuts, a programme of training for young talent using the governments apprenticeship levy to drive diversity in the industry. Melissa is also one of our regular trainers at The Industry School, sharing her knowledge and passion for Project Management with agencies and brands.

With this experience, Charlene understands the significance of project management and production for an organisation and its nuances. Nicky thrives on discovering the best account management talent for creative agencies, production houses and brand owners. Having worked in the marketing industry for eight years as an account handler she has a solid understanding of how different agencies operate and is able to identify the right person for the client, both culturally and professionally. Offering experience across digital, direct, social and advertising, Nicky has a great network of diverse and loyal talent who she’s advised in their careers and worked with since they entered the industry.

Katie works in a team with Nicky as our consultant for social, content, PR and experiential marketing. Having studied Marketing at university, Katie continues to keep on top of marketing trends in the industry and runs several of our podcasts and webinars on building a career in social media. Having previously worked as a Talent Consultant at Birkbeck University, she has experience in helping graduates kick start their careers by gaining invaluable experience to break into the agency world. Katie is also The industry Club's Everyone champion; overseeing our diversity and inclusion initiatives and internal procedures and leading the recruitment of our apprentices for Marketing Debuts. A self-confessed foodaholic and social media aficionado, Katie combined her passion for food and all things social media and is now a macro influencer on her Instagram account.
Principal Recruitment Consultant - Finance and Resource Management
With over nine years of recruitment experience for some of London's top agencies, Annie is our Principal Recruitment Consultant for Finance and Resource Management. Annie has a wealth of recruitment experience and a great network, having been a financial recruiter for several years. Annie has also worked as an in-house talent manager for two large network agencies placing more creative focused roles so she appreciates the role of inhouse talent and At The Industry Club, she works across finance and resource management, from entry level to CFO, agency and client-side, temp and perm as well as managing our resource management roles, temp and perm.
Principal Recruitment Consultant - Strategy/Senior Client Service
Zoe is our lead recruiter for senior client services and strategy candidates. Having worked in client services as a Business Director prior to The Industry Club for 15 years, Zoe is a trusted sounding board and advisor for her clients and candidates alike. Zoe uses her great research skills to search for those highly desirable but difficult to find candidates then matches visions, ambitions and passions at a senior level to make the most effective partnerships. As well as working with our senior candidates, Zoe has been involved in various diversity initiatives for entry level talent to support underrepresented groups in securing roles in planning departments.

Farzana is a has been working in creative recruitment for over 20 years moving across from an agency account management role in her earlier career. Farzana loves creative recruitment. Her passion for brave ideas and effective creative for brands, results in her meeting a record number of creative candidates on a weekly basis. Her sizeable network includes creatives specialising in content, experiential, advertising, social and digital, freelance and permanent candidates. Farzana places a large number of Creative Directors and senior creative personnel, but is also passionate about young talent from all walks of life being given the opportunity to join the creative industries.
Senior Recruitment Consultant - Design, UX, Motion Graphics
Issy is our Senior Recruitment Consultant working across design, UX and motion graphics roles, freelance and perm. Issy started her career as an agency Account Manager in branding and design working in the UK and Australia before starting her career as a creative recruiter in 2012. Her previous career experience, vast experience, consultative approach and large network built over many years, guarantees Issy is able to match clients and candidates really successfully.
Mandy manages the finances for The Industry Club. She’s the main point of contact for all financial matters for the recruitment business, internally and for our clients. Mandy also looks after our freelancer payments and the associated admin, ensuring timesheets are signed and freelancers are always paid on time.

As head of The Industry School, Jo helps clients align training objectives to business goals. Jo’s here to discuss what the right training plan looks like for you and where options such as our open workshops, bespoke training and mentoring will work best for the people in your organisation. As well coordinating training and managing the day-to-day running of The Industry School, Jo oversees the design and introduction of new courses to our training offering and provides consultancy in operations management to agencies of all sizes. An experienced course presenter herself, Jo is also our resource management trainer and leads our workshops and bespoke training in this specialist discipline.
